And in stock at Waterstones!

I suppose supply is always likely to be slow with 'print on demand' publications, but given that the manager has had stock of my book on order since the 5th December, I'm now very pleased(and relieved) to say that Writing Therapy is available at Waterstones, Boston.

I enjoyed 'Writing Therapy'. 'Enjoyed' doesn't say it all; the book has a powerful cathartic vein in its clear insights into, and empathy with, depression (which I have all too recent secondhand experience of). It would be as accurate to say that I looked forward to returning to it each time, and read it at greater speed than the writing deserved (which are fundamental compliments in my eyes). I think you have every right to be very proud of it' I hope there is another egg in the pipeline?

It certainly was/is Fionnuala - I went back yesterday, gratuitously, just to have another look! Do you think Ian McEwan does that? Or John Banville? No, neither do I!

I'm delighted you enjoyed the book, Brother T. So far I've had nothing but positive feedback, which makes a very pleasant change from the readers reports I got from some of the unsuccessful publishers. I think I knew, when writing it, that it would never be to everybody's taste but I had a clear idea of what I wanted, and I'm glad it seems to work. Thank you (and, yes, there's more to come!)

You have really 'arrived' when you get your photo taken with your book in Waterstones.

I dream of joining you. By the way Tim, my trilogy is being considered by a publisher right now ... and I feel like I am watching a child toddle off down a motorway and can't do a single thing, except wait and see what happens!

Congratulations Dotterel! I'm so pleased that a proper writer has got a book into Waterstones. You ie I get sick of seeing ghost-written celeb bilge stuck in pride of place at Waterstones (their agents PAY up to £40K to have their client's book in the best position)

Well done you.

I know, Jane, and it's a disgrace. Mind you, so is the enormous discount Waterstones buy the book for!

That's wonderful new Annie, and I hope it's good news and that you don't have to wait too long. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Hope you're back up on your feet soon, WoNI.
