The author of Black Boxes, In Search of Adam and Disraeli Avenue,
Caroline Smailes e-mailed last week to ask me if I'd be prepared to be interviewed on her blog. You can read all about it
here. It's the second interview I've done since Writing Therapy came out. The first was on local radio station Endeavour FM and concentrated solely on the book. But as a successful writer, Caroline wanted to know all sorts of things about my writing in general - how I wrote, or why, and what else I'd had published. It was good to take time to consider these questions (something I hadn't really done before). The best interviewers have a knack of revealing something new about their subjects, something perhaps the interviewee wasn't even fully aware of. That's certainly what happened here.
It was timely, too, as next week I'll be subjected to the live interrogation of the members of Waterstone's Boston Book Club. If you're around, the event starts at 7pm. Admission is free, but please phone 01205 360002 for tickets.

Trains eh? Maybe I should try that too.... Good luck with the book club!
Thanks SB. Yes, it all started with a model railway!
Oooh I read your very interesting interview over on Caroline's blog.
